Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first seven months of 2010, construction and installation of a total of MNT 84.8 billion were carried out natiowide. Of them MNT 77.8 billion or 91.7 per cent were executed by domestic entities, of MNT 7.0 billion or 8.3 per cent--by foreign entities.
1,990.7 thousand passengers and 8,926.8 tons freight were carried by railway transport by duplicated number. Due to the increase in carried freight and passengers, the revenue from railway transport increased by MNT 34.6 billion or 27.9 per cent reaching MNT158.9 billion in the first 7 months of 2010.
205.3 thousand passengers and 834.5 tons of freight were carried by air transport by duplicated number, against the previous year. The number of passengers carried rose 44.4 thousand people or 27.6 per cent, of freight--154.1 tons or 22.7 per cent against the previous year.
Revenue from air transport increased MNT 10.0 billion or 17.8 per cent reaching MNT 66.0 billion due to the increase in carried freight and passengers.
