Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ According to the report of the Bank of Mongolia, money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of July, 2010 expanded to MNT 3543.1 blliion increasing MNT 19.5 billion or 0.6 per cent against the end of June 2010, and increasing MNT 1,033.4 billion or 41.2 per cent against the previous year.
At the end of July, 2010, currency issued in circulation reached MNT 452.3 billion increasing MNT 4.9 billion or 1.1 per cent against end of June 2010, and increasing MNT 101.7 billion or 29.0 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Loans outstanding at the end of July, 2010, amounted to MNT 2,972.0 billion increasing MNT 89.4 billion or 3.1 per cent against the end of June 2010, and by MNT 391.2 billion or 15.2 per cent--against the previous year.
Meanwhile, principals in arrears decreased MNT 2.1 billion or 1.9 per cent against the end of June 2010, and by MNT 32.9 billlion or 22.9 per cent--against the same period of 2009.
At the end of July, 2010, the non-performing loans over bank system reached MNT 414.5 billion increasing MNT 11.5 billion or 2.9 per cent against the end of June, 2010. It increased by MNT 61.6 billion or 17.4 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year.
