EARTHQUAKE SHAKES TOLITOLI ON THURSDAY
Tolitoli, Central Sulawesi, July 24 (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale shook Tolitoli District, Central Sulawesi Province, on Thursday at 2.02 am local time.
The tremor's epicenter was located at 1.69 degrees northern latitude and 120.96 degrees eastern longitude, at a depth of 30 km under the ground level, according to information from the national meteorological and geophysics office.
The relatively strong earthquake forced a number of residents to get out bed but did not trigger a tsunami because the epicenter was not located at sea.
