Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first seven months of 2010, the number of live births decreased 874 or 2.2 per cent to 39,227. Moreover, the number of mothers delivered children decreased by 911 or 2.3 per cent to 39,063 against the previous year.
Infant mortality decreased by 6 or 0.8 per cent to 791, and a number of maternal deaths--by 10 or 38.5 per cent to 16. The 1-5 aged child mortality increased 93 or 76.2 per cent to 215 compared to the same period of the previous year.
