Iran basketball comes last in Adidas Cup
TEHARN, Aug. 9 (MNA) -- Iran narrowly lost to New Zealand and finished in last place in the four-a-side Adidas Istanbul Basketball Cup on Sunday.
Iran, who is preparing itself for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey in late August, was defeated by New Zealand 69-68.
Iran was already beaten in the event by the host Turkey 93-53 and Serbia 96-68.
Iran also came last in the Stankovic Continental Cup in China last week.
Serbia clinched the Adidas Istanbul Cup title by beating Turkey 83-70 on the third day final of the international tournament.
