Abdul-Ghani: Yemeni is keen to strengthen relations with Syria

(Saba) - Speaker of the Shura Council Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani affirms on Sunday
Yemen's keenness
to strengthen its relations with Syria, describing the bilateral relations as
fraternal and strategic.
This came during a meeting gathered Abdul-Ghani and the Syrian Prime Minister
Mohammed Naji al-Utri, who is currently visiting to Yemen to partake in the 10th
session of
the Yemeni-Syrian High Joint Committee.
Abdul-Ghani noted to the positions of Syria and its support to the issues of Yemeni
people, most notably the unity, affirming at the same time Yemen's support to Syria
in
all issues that concerns this brotherly country.
"The Yemeni-Syrian relations are fraternal, historical and strategic", said
Abdul-Ghani pointing that these relations are given special attention by the two
leaders of the
two countries.
Abdul-Ghani expressed his hope that the visit of the Syrian Primer and the meetings
of the Yemeni-Syrian committee would contribute to identify priorities of the joint
cooperation
at the bilateral level so as to achieve the common aspirations of the two peoples
and the Arab and Islamic nations.
He voiced his interest in the Syrian experience in the field of industrial
development, which he said "It can be used in the framework of joint cooperation
between the two
countries".
For his part, the Syrian prime minister expressed his pleasure to visit Yemen and
praised the bilateral relations, wishing further development for these relations.
Al-Utri affirmed that there are promising horizons of mutual cooperation between
Yemen and Syria in the economic and developmental areas, noting that the
experiences of
the two countries can develop strong foundations for this relationship.
The two sides stressed the importance of availing from the agreements signed
between the two countries to serve the mutual interests and invest the promising
potentials
of joint cooperation between the two countries.
