Envoy: Iran-Lebanon friendship has historical roots

Shahr-e-Kord, Charmahal & Bakhtiari province, Aug 8, IRNA – Lebanese ambassador to Tehran, who is in Shahr-e-Kord to attend foreign investment conference, said here that Iran and Lebanon friendship has historical roots and is very strong.

Zein al-Mousavi told IRNA here on Saturday that the two countries own great civilizations and their cultures and civilizations as well as their religious commonalities are behind their strong ties.

Concerning economic ties between the two countries, Mousavi said that current economic ties are desirable but they can develop, too.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese senior diplomat called capacities and potentials of the province very high, which can make it a good destination for tourists from all around the world.

Diplomats from 30 countries arrived in Shahr-e-Kord on Thursday to attend foreign investment conference here.

The attendants also visited a number tourist attractions of the province, too./end
