1st meeting of joint committee for preparing national dialogue held in Sana`a

SANA'A, Aug. 07 (Saba)- Joint committee for preparing the
national dialogue held on Saturday
its first meeting in Sana'a capital.
In the opening session, the vice president and first deputy chairman of
General People Congress (GPC) Abduh Raboh Mansor Hadi welcomed all in
the first meeting which aims
at preparing for the national dialogue.
He considered the committee as a one team to achieve results that
satisfy all Yemenis and continue the development process as well as
tackle security, economic and social
challenges facing the nation.
Hadi also affirmed concern of the GPC and his chairman President Ali
Abdullah Saleh to tackle political crises.
He also pointed out to the threats facing the nation such as rebellion
in north and what so called peaceful southern movement and al-Qaeda.
With cooperation of all, the issues and disputes would be resolved, he
said.
For his part, Idaros al-Naqib, assistant secretary general of
preparatory committee for the national dialogue delivered a speech in
behalf of Joint Meeting Parties JMP and
its alliance in which he confirmed importance of dialogue as a choice to
resolve problems, saying that the JMP and its alliance believed that the
dialogue with all inside
and outside the nation as way to resolve crises of the nation which were
resulted because of wrong policies.
Al-Naqib pointed out to efforts of the JMP to extend its dialogue with
all social and political forces in the nation since 3008, saying that
the JMP came out with vision
over the dialogue.
He said that the JMP all times insisted on the GPC is key partner in
the dialogue as ruling part and active political force in the country,
indicating to the February agreement
of 2009 signed between the two sides.
He wished support of friends and brothers for Yemen not only in
security arena as that is not enough to bring an end for the extremism.
He made it clear that corruption, power monopoly, injustice,
unemployment and poverty would strengthen extremism.
Al-Naqib added that the JMP would continue peaceful struggling and
dialogue to get fair rights of the people in freedom, equal citizenship,
development and peaceful power
transfer.
Then, the committee started first session co-chaired by Hadi and Abdul
Wahabi al-Ansi. The session, a sub-committee of equal members from two
sides was formed to prepare
for the dialogue.
