Yemen, OIC sign program to help Sa`ada IDPs
SANA'A, Aug. 07 (Saba) - Ministry of
Public Health and Population and Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) signed on
Saturday
a humanitarian program to help the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Saada province.
Under the program, OIC runs the field hospital which it has established in
al-Mizraq area in Haradh distract of Hajjah province and operates the health units
in coordination
with the concerned bodies and according to the filed hospitals' systems as from the
current August.
The program includes a number of terms deal with enhancing the health cooperation
between the Ministry and the OIC. It also contains means of assisting Sa'ada IDPs
in al-Mizraq
area to overcome the health situation they are suffering from.
The hospital contains 50 beds and was established with a total cost of $ US 1 million.
The program was signed by Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul-Karim
Rase'a and the Assistant General Secretary for Humanitarian Affairs of OIC Attaa
al-Manan.
