UK grants Yemen US $ 14 mln for justice, security reforms
SANA'A, July 24 (Saba) - Yemen and Britain singed Wednesday an agreement of US $ 14 million to be granted to supportthe country's reforms in fields of judiciary and military.
Under the agreement, the UK government provides Yemen with US $ 14 million to support Yemeni efforts to enhance the judicial reforms in areas of institutional structureand building capacities, particularity commercial judiciary.
The grant also was allowed Yemen to reinforce its efforts and train coastguardforces to combat terrorism.
The agreement was singed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Justice Minister and deputy Minister of Interior from the Yemeni side and by British ambassadorto Yemen Tim Torlot.
