ARMENIZATION OF AZERBAIJANI I SONG “SARI GELIN” PREVENTED
New York, August 6 (AzerTAc). On July 28 in the program of the American “Radio Positive” broadcasting in New York in Russian, the presenter of the program naming the Azerbaijani national song “Sari Gelin” as “Gornaya Nevesta”, presented it as Armenian and the song was performed by Jivan Gasparyan, Permanent Representation of Azerbaijan to UN said.
In reply to this, Permanent Representation of the Azerbaijan Republic has immediately contacted the radio. They were informed that the presenter has made a gross blunder. The Radio was asked, that on the direct air it was declared that “Sari Gelin” is an Azerbaijani national song what was instantly done. The radio made apologies for the committed error.
