ATAR III 2010 FARM SHOW APPROACHES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Embassy of Canada in Mongolia is delighted to co-sponsor, for the first time, Mongolia's national farm show--the ATAR III-2010 which will be held August 13-15, 2010, in Selenge, along with Mongolia's Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, a Governor's Office of Selenge and Tuv aimags and the Gatsuurt company.
It is the first dry land farm technology and equipment show in Mongolia, with the participation of 15 Canadian companies, and more than 300 delegates from over 200 Mongolian agricultural businesses. Representatives of Mongolia's Government, foreign embassies and international organizations working in Mongolia are also expected to attend the Show.
The aim of it is to deepen the Canada-Mongolia cooperation in the agricultural sector, to introduce and promote Canadian advanced agricultural machinery, products and technology; boost agricultural trade between our two countries, and to establish contacts between representatives of the Canadian and Mongolian private sector.
Canadian exhibitors are prepared to provide the guests with valuable information and are ready to showcase their products and technologies.
The show opens with a special breakfast event to be held Friday, August 13, at 8:30 a.m at the Chairman Restaurant, Corporate Hotel. It would feature all the Canadian agriculture equipment producers that are exhibiting at the Show. The Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia, Dr. Anna Biolik, will greet the Canadian delegation and offer her opening remarks.
Later in the morning the Canadian delegation will travel to the ATAR III-2010 Farm Show site where the event will open with a welcome speech by the Prime Minister of Mongolia followed by various speakers. A guided tour of the exhibition sites will be conducted after the opening ceremonies. The highlight of the show will be the Demonstration Feature where the farm machinery can be tested in the field by the farmers. A dinner reception hosted by the Embassy of Canada will wrap up the day.
The ATAR III-2010 Farm Show is the best place for the Mongolian farmers to get familiar with the Canadian advanced agriculture technology and information, and it is happening right here in Selenge, the major agricultural province of Mongolia.
