BISHKEK, August 5 (Itar-Tass) - Kyrgyzstan's former presidential
candidate Urmat Baryktobasov, whose supporters organized a rally in the
centre of Bishkek on Thursday and provoked clashes with police, has been
detained, an official in the republic's government told Itar-Tass.
"Along with Baryktobasov another six people from his inner circle were
detained," he said.
