PYONGYANG, August 6 (Itar-Tass) - The DPRK will "drown South Korean
warmongers" should there be a slightest provocation from their side, KCNA
reported unnamed military sources as saying on Friday.
This information came in response to the military exercises, which
started in the Yellow Sea on Thursday despite the DPRK's warning "it will
inevitably respond by physical retaliatory measures."
KCNA /Korean Central News Agency/ highlights that the
military-oriented politics of the country leaders "has build up the shock
forces of the DPRK." The agency calls the military exercises "a
demonstration of force, aimed not only at the DPRK, but at other countries
in North-Eastern Asia."
The peaceful reunification of the motherland committee criticized
Seoul and called the military exercises as an "unforgivable defiance to
the DPRK's dignity and sovereignty, as a deliberate act to provoke
military action." Seoul has started "a most dangerous military
provocation."
South Korea's "puppet army" made similar provocations together with
the USA along the 38th parallel shortly before the Korean War of
1950-1953, the committee said.
The people and the army of the DPRK watch closely the actions "of the
group of wreckers headed by Korea's President Lee Myung-bak and will kill
without regret any instigators and ruin their citadels by mobilising all
the mighty forces of self-defence," the committee said.
The five-day military exercises are organised along the so-called
Northern Limit Line, which became a sea border. The DPRK would not agree
with the Line, which was set in a hurry by the UN experts after the Korean
War of 1950-1953, and demand it moved further to the south. The situation
along the NLL remains tense all the time.
