Mashaie: Iran in phase of ever-growing prosperity, development
Tehran, Aug 4, IRNA – President’s Advisor Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie said that Iran is now in a new phase of prosperity and development.
Making the remarks in the closing ceremony of the grand gathering of Iranians living abroad, he said Iranians were quite aware of world developments and knew well their own sublime situation.
Stressing that Iranians have always been proud of their nationality, he said the sanctions imposed on Iran by the United Nations Security Council as well as by the US and European countries could never make Iran change its nuclear policies.
Saying that it would be ridiculous to even think of any attack on Iran by the US, the President's advisor, who also represents the President in the Supreme Council Of Iranians Living Abroad, said the Americans needed Iran’s cooperation even if they decided to leave Iraq and Afghanistan because Iran had the final say in the issue whether they liked it or not.
Mashaie further stressed that continuing the policies of the former US president would lead to destruction of the US, noting that President Barack Obama had to make changes in America’s international policies especially regarding Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and Iran if he really wanted to find a way for his country out of problems.
Believing that solving the issue of the US-Iran ties was the easiest one in terms of political and management skills, he said it would be impossible to settle the issues in Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine without solving problems with Iran first.
He said settling matters with Iran was not only easier but inevitable to do.
Mashaie said this proved Iran’s authority and power.
Turning to the propaganda war instigated to scatter the rumor of Zionist regime's attack on Iran, he said Iran believed that the Zionist regime would be removed from the world map in a few years. However, he added, it would be wiped away from the maps just in one week if it decided to carry out any kind of attacks against Iran.
Addressing those who take as serious the propaganda waged by Western media on the US attack on Iran, the President's advisor, who heads his office too, said Iran was able of showing such people pictures taken from above American warships that even Americans themselves were not aware of their very existence./end
