Iran does not heed US officials' remarks: FM spokesman
Tehran, Aug 3, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said on Tuesday that Tehran does not pay attention to remarks made by US authorities.
Mehman-Parast made the above statement in reaction to the recent comment by Admiral Michael Mullen, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff on the US military attack on Iran.
Mullen had told the media that the US had a plan to attack Iran, if needed, to prevent the country from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Mehman-Parast told IRNA that “we should not pay attention to the US military official’s remarks”. Such remarks indicate their state of instability, anger and frustration stemming from their numerous failures in the region, the spokesman reiterated./end
