Iranian woman ranks 1st in Jordan Int’l Qur’an Contest
Amman, August 3, IRNA – Fatemeh Abdoli, who knows the entire text of the Glorious Qur’an by heart, participated in the 5th Jordan International Qur’an Contest ranking 1st in memorizing 20 Chapters of the Book Section.
Abdoli was awarded a plaque of honor plus a 2.000 Jordanian dinar cash prize.
According to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization website, Nasrin Ja’fari from Iran ranked 4th in the same contest last year.
Contestants from Kuwait and Jordan respectively ranked 2nd and 3rd at Memorizing 20 Chapters of the Glorious Qur’an Section in this year’s competitions, in which contestants from 30 Muslim countries around the globe competed in memorizing 20 and 10 chapters of the Holy Book.
In related news, Mahmoud Rangraz from Iran has been dispatched to Kuala Lumpur to participate in the 52nd International Qur’an Recitation Contest in Malaysia./end
