Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ An official visit of the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mongolia D.Zorigt is continuing in Japan.
On Friday July 30, the Minister met with Mr. Yo.Sengoku, a head of the Cabinet Secretariat of the Japanese Government, and expressed a hope that his official visit will be paid successfully. In turn, Mr. Sengoku expressed a willingness to develop a comprehensive collaboration in investments, technologies and human resources sectors and to develop the countries together in frames on the East Asian Cooperation.
The same day, D.Zorigt held negotiations with Mr. Katsuya Okada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Mr. Zorigt said Mongolia wants to expand the bilateral cooperation in private sector and to develop collaboration in introducing the latest techniques and technologies in Mongolia, in attracting investments and in preparing staffers. Mr. Zorigt requested the Japanese side to involving the Japanese private sector's enterprisers in implementing projects and programs that are to elevate the inter-governmental relations into a newer level, and forwarded some proposals, for example, to accelerate the matter on constructing the international airport in Mongolia, make investments to establishing a new power plant in Ulaanbaatar and to cooperating in constructing some factories of processing natural minerals. Then Zorigt conveyed an invitation of Mongolia's Foreign Minister G.Zandanshtar to Mr. Okada to pay Mongolia a visit.
In his turn, Mr. Okada appreciated developing of the bilateral ties in private sector and promised to systematically study certain projects for the energy sector. Mr. Okada said he expected that there will be a positive response to the second stage matter on loans of supporting small- and middle-sized production in Mongolia. By the way, the first part of loans for small- and middle-sized production of Mongolia was USD 29 million, the second part is expected to increase.
The Minister D.Zorigt also met with Mr. M.Naoshima, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Production of Japan. Mr. Zorigt plans to sing a cooperation memorandum with some agencies of this Ministry.

The Prosecutor-General of Mongolia D.Dorligjav has received Mr. Mark Taylor, a representative of the U.S Department of State in charge of human trafficking affairs.
The sides shared views on combating human trafficking and transnational crimes such as big economic crimes, drugs and chemicals. The sides emphasized an importance of prosecutorial organizations to combat against these crimes. They discussed issues of fighting with the crimes and training policemen and specialists of prosecutorial organizations for investigating and detecting the crimes.
By the way, the governments of Mongolia and the USA are cooperating in the above direction, and the U.S Department of State expressed a willingness to render assistance to Mongolia's side.

Paying the official visit to Japan, the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mongolia D.Zorigt has met with Mr. Kenzo Ooshima, the Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The Minister mentioned that Japan is the Third neighbor of Mongolia, and expressed his willingness to bring the comprehensive partnership of the bilateral cooperation into a strategic new level. In addition to it, Mr. Zorigt said Mongolia wants to develop the collaboration with Japan in fuel and energy sectors in frames of not only JICA's official assistance, but also on private sector level, and that aims to introduce new technologies, train Mongolian students and increase investments.
At the meeting, the Minister raised issues of international airport to be constructed in Mongolia and on the two-stage loans of the developmental official assistance.
In his turn, Mr. Ooshima said he will cooperate with Mongolia in constructing a new energy source and will pay attention to the projects mentioned by the Minister D.Zorigt.
Mr. Ooshima also emphasized that JICA intends to work out the program of developmental assistance in connection with the National Developmental Strategy based on Millennium Developmental Goals of Mongolia.

The Minister of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia Yo.Otgonbayar has received Mr. Fritz Neugebauer, the Vice President of the National Council (parliament) of the Republic of Austria.
Mr. Fritz Neugebauer appreciated a special attention of Mongolia to its educational sphere, and presented 50 personal computers to a new library of Mongolia's University of Science and Technology (MUST).
Mr. Fritz expressed his willingness to widen the collaboration with Mongolia in the educational sector. Then he invited the Minister of Education to visit Austria.
The Minister Yo.Otgonbayar thankfully received the aid and said Mongolia wants to cooperate with Austria in training Mongolian students in Austrian universities and institutes. He said Mongolia also wants to develop a cooperation with Austria in professional educational sector.

An international master of sports A.Enkhtuul won Friday a gold medal of the Sixth World School Chess Championship organized by the World Chess Federation (FIDE) which took place from July 20 through August 31 in Kayseri city, Turkey.
A.Enkhtuul competed in women's contest of under 17 years. At the final match she defeated her rival from Turkmenistan Jorayeva Govher who is leading the World ranking for female school chess players.
By the way, A.Enkhtuul won a gold medal in the Team World School Chess Championship in 2006.

The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has congratulaed A.Enkhtuul for winning this gold medal. The President's congratulatory letter states that he is very happy for the brilliant success of the Mongolian girl and wished Enkhtuul to show more success.
