MONGOLIAN STUDENT WINS GOLD MEDAL
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The 17th International University Mathematics Olympiad was held July 24-30 in Blagoevgrad city, Bulgaria. The action brought together 369 students from 94 universities and institutes of 76 countries.
A team of Mongolia's State University (MSU) took 43th place with 123 points, whereas a team from Mongolia's University of Science and Technology (MUST) took 51th place with 110.67 points. As for individual results, a student of the MSU E.Enkhzaya won gold medal and a 1st grade diploma, another Mongolian student B.Ganbold won a bronze medal and a 3rd grade diploma.
E.Enkhzaya has become the first student in Mongolia to win a gold medal at the International University Mathematics Olympiad.
