ODI values Yemen's successes in economic, social legislations

SANA'A, Aug. 01 (Saba) - Overseas Development Institute (ODI) voiced on Sunday its appreciation of the Yemeni achievements in legislations of the economic and social development.

During his meeting with Speaker of Parliament Yahya al-Rae'i, a delegation of
Overseas Development Institute (ODI) headed by Centre for Aid and Public
Expenditure (CAPE)
Head Marcus Manuel briefed al-Rae'i on the London-based ODI foundation and objectives.
Manuel acquainted al-Rae'i with a new program for presenting the additional support
to enhance the national budget policy and the financial systems.
He pointed to various mechanisms to ease national education access, establish
networks to avail from the country's experiences and providing counsels in specific
areas of
reforms, making-decision and training.
Al-Rae'i asserted the importance of the cooperation between Yemen and ODI to
achieve the desired goals and to exchange expertise in preparing annual budgets.
He also explained the Yemeni parliamentary experience to the ODI delegation,
highlighting to the most significant laws the parliament has ratified in areas of
combating
terrorism and money laundry in addition to amending several legislations for the
economic and social development.
