Over 170 books on display in meeting of Iranian compatriots

Tehran, Aug 2, IRNA – Iran’s Alhoda International Publication will showcase over 170 books in several languages at the gathering of a large number of Iranians living abroad in Tehran.

Over 170 books in English, Arabic and Persian version in the fields of religion, mystic, Iranology, historical and Qur'anic issues will be put on display during the two-day meeting which is being held at the Islamic states summit conference hall in northern Tehran.

Gathering of a large number of Iranians residing in other countries started in Tehran on Monday morning with the participation of several senior Iranian officials.

Meanwhile, works of the founder of the Islamic Republic the late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei will also be introduced during the event.

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Minister of Health Marziyeh Vahid Dastjerdi and Head of the Presidential Office and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's deputy in the High Council of Iranians Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie are among senior Iranian officials present in the meeting.

About 1,200 Iranians residing in different countries were expected to take part in the event.
