Meeting of Iranian compatriots begins in Tehran
Tehran, Aug 2, IRNA – A gathering of a large number of Iranians living abroad started here with the participation of some senior Iranian officials.
The two-day meeting is being held at the Islamic states summit conference hall in northern Tehran.
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Minister of Health Marziyeh Vahid Dastjerdi and Head of the Presidential Office and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's deputy in the High Council of Iranians Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie are among senior officials attending the meeting.
About 1,200 Iranians residing in different countries are expected to participate in the event./end
