Twelve OMON policemen get wounded in clashes with militants.

MAKHACHKALA, Dagestan, August 1 (Itar-Tass) - Twelve OMON policemen
were wounded in clashes against militants near the Gubden settlement in
Dagestan.
Law enforcement sources in Dagestan told Itar-Tass that a group of
unidentified militants had blown up a bomb on the way of an OMON truck
convoy at around noon Moscow time on Saturday. After that, they opened
fire from automatic weapons from several places in the nearby forest.
As a result, twelve OMON policemen were wounded.
The fighting went on for about two and a half hours.
There have been no reports about casualties among the attackers as of yet.
