Yemeni Coastguard gets assistance from IOM
ADEN, July 31 (Saba)- The Yemeni
Coastguard in the Gulf of Aden got on Saturday material assistance, which consists
of 100 tents
and 100 special robes for diving and rescue, provided by the International
Organization for Migration (IOM).
Deputy Director-General of Coastguard Sector of the Gulf of Aden, Colonel
Abdul-Rahman Musa told Saba that the sector would benefit from the assistance in
the rescue process
in drowning incidents and the search for missing persons in addition to pitching
tents along the shores of the Yemeni coast in the city of Aden and providing them
with the
required ambulatory equipments.
He stressed the need to provide technical medical teams and an ambulance car to the
tents by the Office of Public Health and Population to help reducing the incidents
of
drowning and early rescuing as well as the required medications.
