Iran resumes gas export to Turkey

Tabriz, E. Azarbaijan Prov., Aug 1, IRNA –- Iran has resumed gas export to Turkey as of Saturday, said an official concerned with the gas transfer operations.
Gas exports to Turkey had stopped since July 21 due to problems in pipelines in Turkey.
Valiollah Dinin said Turkish Company Bootash which was repairing the pipelines had asked Iran to stop the export.
He said re-export began on Saturday with 13 million cubic meter per day which will rise to 24.5 million cubic meter in 24 hours.
He said the average gas export to Turkey is 25 million cubic meter per day which can rise to 30 million./end
