Ukraine seized major batch of cocaine from Latin America
KIEV, July 30 (Itar-Tass) -- Ukrainian law enforcers seized a major
batch of cocaine worth 180 million dollars that arrived from Venezuela by
sea, the national security service (SBU) said on Thursday.
It said the drugs arrived in the port of Odessa from Venezuela in the
middle of July. A total of 1192.95 kilograms of cocaine were confiscated
and five people detained - two Ukrainians, a Russia, a Bulgarian, and a
German.
SBU said it was a third attempt in July to smuggle cocaine from Latin
America by sea.
