1200 children evacuated from summer camps in Ryazan

MOSCOW, July 30 (Itar-Tass) -- 1200 children were evacuated from
summer camps in Ryazan region because of a threat from advancing fires,
the local emergency department said on Friday adding the kids were brought
to Ryazan schools.
Earlier regional emergency service spokesman Dmitry Gavrikov said over
1100 people were evacuated from four residential settlements in Ryazan
region because of fires that destroyed 56 wooden houses.
"All 1135 residents of the settlements were evacuated, nobody was
injured," he said.
According to the spokesman, 56 houses were burnt down in the four
villages, but 64 were saved by firemen.
At present 300 people are being evacuated from two other villages in
Ryazan region, as fires approached them.
