.Urals University to cooperate with German educational institutions.



YEKATERINBURG, July 29 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia's Urals Federal
University starts a large-scale cooperation with Germany's educational
institutions.
The Urals University hosted the X Russian-German forum Petersburg
Dialogue.
Over the forum, the university signed an agreement on double diplomas
in Economics with Berlin's Humboldt State University. In September, a
delegation of Germany's service for academic exchange programmes will come
to Yekaterinburg to discuss details of cooperation.
"The cooperation programmes cover mutually acceptable diplomas,
exchange programmes for students and teaches and joint research," the
Urals University's Rector Viktor Kiksharov said.
Russia's president ordered to organise the Urals federal university to
replace the Urals state technical university named after Boris Yeltsin.
The new university will also incorporate the Urals state university. From
2013 the new university will start the construction of its new buildings.


.Former Kamran naval base airport to serve international flights.

HANOI, July 29 (Itar-Tass) -- The airport of Russia's former naval
base Kamran in central Vietnam will serve international flights. The
Vietnam Airlines Company will operate its first international flight to
Kamran from Seoul, local media said.
Russian air companies may start new regular flights to connect Central
Vietnam with Russia's Far East and Moscow.
The Kamran airport in Russia's former naval base became a commercial
airport in May 2004. Five years later, as a new passenger terminal was
constructed in 2009, the airport got a status of an international one.
The new international air hub will give a strong impetus to the social
and economic development of the region and will attract foreign tourists
who come to enjoy sea resorts there.
Russia's Navy left Kamran back in May 2002. Vietnam announced that the
Kamran Bay will no longer remain a military base, though both China and
the USA had requested to rent it. Hanoi made a decision to transfer the
"major citadel of socialism in Asia" of the "cold war" times into a
tourist centre will most moderns infrastructures, and managed to do so
quite quickly. The only object that keeps the memories of the base is the
monument to Russian and Vietnamese military that died for peace and
stability in the region.


.Techno Park opens in St Petersburg September 30.

ST. PETERSBURG, July 29 (Itar-Tass) -- The opening ceremony of first
stage of Technopolic will be a key event of St. Petersburg's third
innovation forum due on September 30, Technopolis' Director General Peter
Kouchman said.
Nine foreign and Russian high-tech companies confirmed their may
become residents in the new techno park. The number of future resident
will be growing as Technopolis continues its negotiations with potential
clients. Forty percent of the first building's 23,000 square metres are
reserved by now. The first renters are expected to appear in the
administrative-business centre of the techno park on September 1. The
complex's first of the five stages cost 50 million euros.
The Third St. Petersburg's International Innovative Forum will be
organised from September 29 through to October 1 of the current year. The
organisers expect that over 10,000 delegates will take part in the event.
Officials from Stockholm, Dresden, Helsinki and innovative centres from
France, South Korea, Norway and other countries have confirmed already
their participation in the forum.
The forum's programme will feature over 30 events, a presentation zone
and a business contacts' exchange. Several agreements on investments in
innovation projects are expected to be signed over the forum.
