Govt using most unethical means to win trust vote: C.P.I.
New Delhi, Jul 23 (PTI) The C.P.I. Tuesday accused the U.P.A. government of using "most unscrupulous and unethical means" to prove its majority on the floor of Lok Sabha in the wake of allegation by B.J.P. that its three M.Ps. were offeredcrores of rupees to abstain during the trust vote.
"The horse trading is going on. Nobody can deny it. It is known to the world and I feel ashamed of the incident. I feela lot of anguish," C.P.I. General Secretary A.B. Bardhan said.
Noting that it was a "dangerous signal for Indian democracy," he said "what has happened to our Parliamentary democracy"? "I've no disrespect to any Parliament member but those operators who are trying to convert a minority government into majority by all these methods, I condemn them," he added. PTI ZH
