MONGOLIAN PUPILS WIN BRONZE MEDALS FROM INT'L PHYSICS OLYMPIAD
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Mongolian pupils took part in the 41st International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) held July 17-25 in Zagreb, Croatia, and have won two bronze medals.
Mongolia was represented by five pupils at the IPhO which brought together some 400 pupils from 82 countries. The children of the city's 1 school D.Bold and B.Batkhuyag won these medals, whereas B.Khuslent, E.Undralbat and D.Dolzodmaa from "Sant" secondary school took special prizes. By the way, D.Bold gained a special prize of the 40th IPhO that took place last year in Mexico.
The Mongolian team was coached by N.Oyunchimeg, a teacher on physics of the 1 school. Together with children she aims to participate with more success in the next year's IPhO and Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO).
As of the team results, the Mongolian team has been ranked 40th. For the time being, Mongolia grabbed seven medals from the IPhO overall.
