Security plan to face trafficking, infiltration in eastern Yemen

SANA'A, July 26
(Saba) - The Interior Ministry said a security plan had been set out to secure the
eastern
coast and combat trafficking crimes, mainly drugs, infiltration and piracy. The plan
will be studied with the Ministry of Defense for final approval and it will be
implemented
jointly with the ministry, it said. It calls for coordination between the two
ministries to secure the eastern coast against smuggling crimes and infiltration, it
concluded.
Separately, the security authorities in Aden and Abyan Provinces have been placed on
heightened alert to face possible sabotage and preserve the public security, the
ministry
said. Moreover, it called for evaluating the security performance in both cities and
tackle deficiencies to ensure achieving the best results. MB/MD/FR
