CHINGIS KHAAN JUDO WORLD CUP FINISHES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The second Chingis Khaan Judo World Cup took place July 24-25 in the Central Palace of Sports, Ulaanbaatar, under auspices of the President of Mongolia.
Co-organized by the International Judo Federation (IJF), the Judo Federation of Mongolia (JFM) and the Mongolian State Committee of Physical Culture and Sports, the competitions ran among male and female 156 judoists of the world from 19 countries such as Mongolia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the DPRK, Russia, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Malaysia, Vietnam, the USA, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Belgium.
This year's World Cup attracted world top judoists because the competitions gave points for the London 2012 Olympic Games and presented wealthy cash prizes. Mongolia, for example, was represented by N.Tuvshinbayar, a State Honored Sportsman and the Olympic champion; Kh.Tsagaanbaatar, State Honored Sportsman and the World champion; S.Miaragchaa, gold medalist of Grand Prix and World Cups, and other top ones.
Three times Olympic gold medalist and World champion Tadihiro Nomura (men's 60 kg) represented Japan. In addition to it, the events brought out Kim Jae-Bum, an Olympic silver medalist and bronze medalist of World championships; Hwang Hee-Tae, a World champion; Jeong Gyeong-Mi, bronze medalist of Olympics and World championships; An Jeong-Hwan, a bronze medalist of World championships (all from the Republic of Korea); An Kum Ae, an Olympic silver medalist (DPRK); Lukas Krpalek, twice Youth World Champion (Poland); and Arash Miresmaeili, twice World champion (Iran).
As the final results, Mongolian judoists won five gold, three silver and 12 bronze medals. Of these, the men's team took 1st place winning 4 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze, whereas the women's team 3rd place winning 1 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Other countries, for instance, the Republic of Korea, grabbed 5 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze; Japan--2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze; Poland--1 gold; Belgium--1 gold; Russia--3 silver and 2 bronze; the DPRK--1 silver and 3 bronze; the USA--1 silver; Kazakhstan--2 bronze; Hungary--1 bronze and Ukraine--1 bronze medal.
