Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker D.Demberel has received Mr. Suzuki Muneo, a member of the Representatives' House of Japanese parliament and head of the Standing committee on security and foreign policy who is paying a visit to Mongolia.
Beginning the meeting, the Speaker thanked Mr. Suzuki for significant contribution to developing the bilateral relations and assistance for Mongolians. The Speaker underlined that Japan has been the main donor country for forming the democracy and market society in Mongolia, and mentioned that parliament of Mongolia has established a legal basis of putting the biggest mineral deposits into economic circulation for economic development. Mr. Demberel pointed out that Mongolia is facing important matters to be tackled in exploiting mineral deposits and boosting infrastructure, and that Mongolia needs the Japanese investments and use of the Japanese latest techniques and technologies in constructing railways, auto roads, coal processing factories and in exploiting uranium.
The Speaker emphasized an importance of parliaments of the two countries in forwarding the relations and cooperation, and expressed a willingness to regularize mutual meetings and visits between parliamentary factions and MPs.
In his turn, Mr. Suzuki expressed his satisfaction with a successful development of the bilateral relations based on comprehensive partnership principles, and with attending measures of the 20th anniversary of the first free democratic election of Mongolia.
Mr. Suzuki said many companies and enterprisers of Japan want to develop cooperation and make investments to Mongolia's uranium sector and to the Tavan tolgoi deposit. Then he requested the Speaker to support them in realizing this willingness.
Mr. Suzuki said he wants to widen the ties between parliaments of the countries and that he will speak his views on the issues to the Japanese parliamentary leaders and officials of the Standing committees and factions. He thanked the Mongolian side for a decision to free the Japanese from the entry visa for 90 days in visiting Mongolia, and expressed a confidence that an upcoming state visit of Mongolia's President Ts.Elbegdorj to Japan will open a new chapter in the history of the Mongolia-Japan relations.
At the end of the meeting, the Speaker requested Mr. Suzuki to convey his invitations to the Speakers of the two Houses of Japanese parliament.
Mr. Suzuki expressed special thanks to Z.Enkhbold, a head of the Standing committee on security and foreign policy and to D.Gankhuyag, a head of Mongolia-Japan parliamentary group for making the visiting program in Mongolia and for active works for development of the inter-parliamentary ties.

After attending the 17th Ministerial meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) held July 22-23 in Hanoi city, Vietnam, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar has met with Mr. Katsuya Okada, the Foreign Minister of Japan, and with Mr. Janos Martonyi, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Hungary and a chairman of the European Union (EU) at the ARF.
Mr. Zandanshatar congratulated Mr. Okada for being elected the Japanese Foreign Minister for the second time, and expressed a willingness to deepen the Mongolia-Japan comprehensive partnership relations and to cooperate closely in bringing the ties into a newer level. The sides expressed a mutual wish to develop the collaboration in coal and uranium mining.
The Mongolian side suggested the Japanese side to study the next biggest project to be realized after the project on construction of a new international airport in frames of official developmental assistance from Japan. Besides matters on preparation for high level bilateral visits and facilitating terms of the mutual visits of citizens, the Foreign Ministers discussed present situation of the region and the cooperation at international and regional arenas. Then Zandanshatar invited his counterpart to visit Mongolia.
Meeting with Hungary's Foreign Minister, Mr. Zandanshatar expressed a satisfaction with widening the Mongolia-Hungary traditional friendly relations with new contents. Mr. Zandanshatar said Mongolia aims to introduce the standards, principles and norms of the European Union to Mongolia's socio-economic spheres and to cooperate with Hungary in it.
In frames of Mongolia-Hungary history and culture connection propaganda, Zandanshatar suggested the Hungarian side to cooperate in marking the 2,220th anniversary of the Hunnic Empire. Mr. Zandanshatar spoke about the Mongolia-EU relations and cooperation issues such as the Partnership and cooperation agreement talks between Mongolia and EU and a visit of the EU's authorities to be paid to Mongolia.
Then Mr. Zandanshatar said Mongolia wants to develop active cooperation with Hungary during its upcoming chairing the EU's Council.

The Foreign Minister of Mongolia has affirmed that Mongolia aspires to implement a visit of the President Ts.Elbegdorj to the USA, and invited Mrs. Clinton to pay Mongolia a visit in 2011--the year of celebrating the 100th anniversary of Mongolia's national freedom movement and the 90th anniversary of the People's Revolution.
Mr. Zandanshatar emphasized that the visit of Mrs. Clinton would have a vital importance in widening the Mongolia-USA cooperation and the regional collaboration.

They have shared views on collaboration between Mongolia and Vietnam.
They said that opportunities exist to increase the cooperation in economy and trade, in particular in importing to Vietman the Mongolian meat, livestock raw materials and in exporting consumer goods and sanitary staff to Mongolia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia G.Zandanshtar took part in the 17th Ministerial meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) ran July 22-23 in Hanoi city, Vietnam.
The ARF is the biggest forum on regional security, and joins the ASEAN members--Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam; and Asia Pacific 26 countries--Australia, the USA, the Republic of Korea, China, India, Canada, Russia, New Zealand, Japan; and the European Union (EU). Mongolia became a member of the ARF in 1998.
At the annual ARF's summit meeting-the Foreign Ministerial Meeting, the participants noted that strengthening peace and stability in Asia-Pacific region is the united purpose of countries, and underlined an importance of widening the regional cooperation and talks.
Moreover, the attendees appreciated a creation of a new mechanism of the Defense Ministers' Meeting of the ASEAN and eight countries (China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, India, New Zealand, Russia, the USA and Australia). The first meeting of this Defense Ministers' meeting will be held October of this year in accordance with a decision of the countries. In addition to it, the Foreign Ministerial Meeting announced that Russia and the USA joined the East Asia Summit (EAS), whereas Turkey and Canada signed the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.
The Foreign Ministers expressed concern over the present time's political complicated condition in the Korean peninsula, and appreciated a statement issued by the UN Security Council in conjunction with sinking of the Cheonan warship of the South Korean Navy. Furthermore, the attendees underlined an upcoming free and just parliamentary election of Myanmar is important for the sustainable development of the country.
A document on activity plan of realizing the ARF's meeting was approved at the end of the meeting. The Foreign Minister of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar expressed his opinions and positions of Mongolia on present political situation in the Asia-Pacific and Northeast Asian regions. Organized under the auspices of Mongolia's President "Mongolian specialist abroad- summer lecture-2010'' was held in Ulaanbaatar Friday.
During it, one-day lecture and training were organised by Ya.Borchuluun, Ph.D of Missouri University of USA, themed ''Training online'', ''Media and journalism'', by D.Tseren-Onolt, Ph.D of Abo Akademi University in Finland, themed ''Trend of computer study-natural estimation'', by M.Saruul-Erdene, Ph.D of Linguistics, librarian of Congress Library, themed "Llinguistic issue of information technology'', and by L.Bat-Ulzii, a staffer of Microsoft company, and E.Jagdagdorj, Experienced specialist of the IBM of USA.
The lecture aimed to give a support to desires and views of developing Mongolia country of the skilled Mongolians who have gained higher education and are working abroad and to encourage targeted at them initiatives of the Mongolian President.
During the lecture the President awarded those who has raised Mongolia's prestige abroad on occasion of the 804th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire and the 89th anniversary of the People's Revolution. The "North Star" order went to Sh.Baatar, a Senior adviser of All State Insurance Corporation, and an Honorary Medal of Labour--to M.Saruul-Erdene, Ph.D of Linguistics, librarian in Congress Library.
Advisor to the President A.Ganbaatar spoke about the President's policy aimed at the abroad-based Mongolians. "He has reflected in his action plan a support to all those who have bright ideas of developing Mongolia," he said. For example, he underlined, the President supported powerfully a project ''Beehive'' that aims to protect rights and legal environment for those who come back to motherland. A photo exhibition ''Every heart for Mongolia'' arranged under the auspices of the President, has run in Ulaanbaatar, and the President himself has taken part in the World Mongolian fourth forum, he added.
