Al-Hitar meets U.S. outgoing envoy, Pathfinder`s official

SANA'A, July 24(Saba) -
Minister of Religious Endowment and Islamic Affairs Hamoud al-Hitar met on Saturday
with
the U.S. ambassador to Sana'a Stephen Seche on the occasion of ending his tenure.
Al-Hitar praised the ambassador's efforts in serving the bilateral relations
between the two countries, stressing the depth of Yemeni-American relations.
For his part, the U.S. ambassador voiced his thanks and appreciation to the
government of Yemen for the cooperation in various official bodies which enabled
him to perform
his duties during his term.
On another hand, al-Hitar met with the Representative of Project to expand Basic
Health Services at the Pathfinder International Organization, an American
organization working
in the health field.
The two sides reviewed mechanisms for the implementation of the organization's
project in Yemen during the next two years in the field of health awareness and
activities
relating to motherhood, and childhood in cooperation with Ministries of Endowment
and Islamic Affairs and Public Health and Population.
They deal with a guide of preachers for health education and program of awareness
SMS to qualify preachers and guides across the country within the first phase of
the project.
The Pathfinder's official noted the importance of this project, which is a model
for the joint work between the health agencies and religion scholars in the field
of awareness.
