JOURNALISM SHOULD SERIOUSLY TAKE TO TASK PATRIOTIC TOPICS
Baku, July 24 (AzerTAc). In journalism, serious woks have to be done in connection with patriotic topics, president Ilham Aliyev noted at the meeting with the members of Press Council on celebration of the National Press Day - 22 July.
Underlining that Azerbaijan is in the war conditions, the head of state said the media has an exclusive role in upbringing the young generation in spirit of patriotism. “The state policy necessarily does a lot in this field, and this policy is pursued expediently. In Azerbaijan, topics of patriotism are of course widely covered. And all these trace an only goal - we have to strengthen patriotic spirit of the Azerbaijani people.”
Noting media`s irreplaceable role in this field, the President expressed his pleasure when he sees a strongly patriotic topic worked out with high sense and meaning.
The head of state stressed necessity of strengthening of such tendency, adding that Azerbaijani media has an only stance in connection with the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. “This is very important as it is a national question, a nationwide question”, the President emphasized. “There is no political dividend in this question. There should not be any speculation in connection with this. This is essential, and our major problem. This can and will be solved by the entire nation, by the will of whole nation. Therefore, we have to activate media propaganda both on internal and international levels”, Aliyev noted.
