.Bakiyev's brother detained in S Kyrgyzstan to be taken to Bishkek.

BISHKEK, July 22 (Itar-Tass) -- Kyrgyzstan's law enforcement forces
detained Akhmat Bakiyev, a younger brother of the former president, in the
southern city of Jalal-Abad to be taken to Bishkek soon, Kyrgyzstan's
Interior Minister Kubatbek Baibolov said on Thursday.
"Presently, Akhmat Bakiyev is being delivered to Bishkek," he said.
"The law enforcement forces also detained a group of his partners, neither
of them made any resistance."
As Akhmat Bakiyev was detained, he had a wig, a mask, false moustache,
a gun and bullets for it, Baibolov said.
"An investigation will be organised according to the present
legislation," he said.
Akhmat Bakiyev had been wanted by the country's authorities as he was
suspected of organising the mass clashes in the Jalal-Abad Region in May
of the current year. The participants in the disorders tried to seize
buildings of state authorities. Several people died in the clashes.
Kyrgyzstan's law enforcement authorities suppose that over the times
of Kurmanbek Bakieyv's presidency, his brother Akhmat was a 'shadow'
governor of the Jalal-Abad Region. The former president was announced
wanted by the international police. The country's Prosecutor General's
Office claims him responsible for organising cruel murder of civilians in
the central square of the capital on April 7. However, Belarus does not
agree to extradite Kyrgyzstan's former president, who stays there now.
