PREMIER MEETS MR. SUZUKI MUNEO


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold received Thursday Mr. Suzuki Muneo, a member of the Representatives' House of Japanese parliament and head of the Standing committee on security and foreign policy.
Beginning the meeting, the Premier expressed thanks to Mr. Muneo for his active works to support Mongolian democracy and reform in Japan and international arena. The Premier underlined that establishing an agreement on economic partnership will become a basis to bring the bilateral relations into a newer level, and requested Mr. Muneo to support in tackling a matter on continuing the two-stage loan from the Japanese government for small- and middle-sized production.
Mentioning about a governmental decision to free the Japanese from the entry visa for 90 days to visit Mongolia, Mr. Batbold requested the head of the Japanese Standing committee to render the same favour for Mongolians when entering Japan.
Mr. Muneo visited Mongolia for the first time in 1991 as a Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan. He played a decisive role in realization of the biggest projects on renovating equipment of the fourth power plant of the city with a non-refundable aid of Japan's government and on providing Mongolian localities with diesel power plants.
Present at the meeting were Z.Enkhbold MP, a head of the Standing committee on security and foreign policy, and T.Kidokoro, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia.
