Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ During the official visit of the Premier of the State Council of China Wen Jiabao paid June 1-2 this year, nine documents were signed between the sides, one of which is the Mongolia-China intergovernmental boundary regime agreement. Thus was renewed the contract made in 1998.
Thanks to it, a legal environment is to be refined to protect Mongolia's state borders, provide their inviolability, boundary regime and protection, to prevent the border-related violations.
Besides, a foundation is to create to improve a control over activities in the border region, protect environment, use and protect properly frontier waters, construct trans-frontier installations according to market economy needs, exploit border checkpoints in their full capability, within the frames of legislation and state policy to boost collaboration in trade, economy and tourism in the border region.
Intergovernmental boundary regime agreement consists of 11 chapters, 50 articles, 14 appendices.
The cabinet discussed a draft on the agreement ratification and decided to submit it to parliament for consideration.
