KHAN BANK SELECTED BEST BY EUROMONEY MAGAZINE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Khan Bank has received the "Best Bank" of Mongolia award which is organized every year by The Euromoney, the world prestigious magazine, the Khan Bank's website reported Tuesday.
Khan Bank delegates received the prize during the Award Ceremony held in Hong Kong July 15. The Khan Bank has been rewarded with "Best Bank” prestigious award for being the best one for the 5th year in a row. The award is granted by Euromoney Magazine which carries out the selection procedure with international standards.
The selection is based on the conclusion by the research team of Euromoney Magazine, which has history of over 40 years, consisting of economic journalists, market researchers, business representatives and financial advisors. The best banks are selected with the review of information from thousands of banks and financial entities in the world.
In its latest edition, the Euromoney Magazine states that the Khan bank is still widely regarded by independent local securities firms and market participants as having the best corporate governance and the strongest balance sheet. "In October 2009, the bank became the first Mongolian bank ever to reach MNT one trillion in total assets, and is the first among its peers to convert all of its branches to an online real-time system. It has the largest ATM network in the country, and..it is best poised to benefit in Mongolian financial and economic development", the magazine says.
Besides Mongolian Khan Bank, ICBC bank of PRC, Shinhan bank of ROK, and HSBC bank of Hong Kong were rewarded “Best Bank” awards.
Previously, the Khan Bank was rewarded "Best Bank" by the Globe Finance Magazine, and the award from the Euromoney is the second distinguished award this 2010 year.
