Arab FMs emphasize seriousness of ICC decision: al-Qirbi says

SANA'A, July 22 (Saba) - The Arab foreign ministers have agreed at their emergency meeting in Cairo on the seriousness of the measure adopted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against theSudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi said upon his arrival home that Foreign Ministers have considered the ICC's arrest warrant as an intervention in the Sudanese interior affairs.

Al-Qirbi, who participated in the Arab Foreign Ministers extraordinary meetings concluded in Cairo last Sunday, said that the meeting affirmed the competency of the Sudanese judiciary to sue any Sudanese committed a crime that come under the jurisdiction ofthe ICC.

The meeting assigned Secretary-General of the Arab League Amr Moussa to head for the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, and to hold talks with African Union's officials over means of stopping the ICC's action, al-Qirbi highlighted.
