WB allocates $82 mln to support health, population project
SANA'A, July 22 (Saba)- Ministry of Public Health and Population organized on Monday a workshop for leaders of health ministry on the approval of the project of health and population for 2010-2015funded by the World Bank at a sum estimated at $28 million.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population Jamal Nasher said that the ministry is working with the World Bank Group to improve readiness of new projects with the introduction of monitoring and evaluation indicators involved with it.
He pointed out to the additional support provided by World Bank in the field of fighting bilharzias which costs $20 million, in addition to technical cooperation provided by World Health Organization (WHO).
Director-general of planning in the health ministry Mosleh al-Tawali said that the new project focuses on the completion of health development sector in the three provincesof Sana'a, Aden and Rayimah.
