STATISTICS: DISASTERS KILL 145 PEOPLE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first half of this year, 1,587 disasters occurred. Due to them 145 people died, 8.8 million heads of livestock had been lost in aimags, and several soums experienced the zud disaster.
By the types of disasters, there were 1,337 object fires, 22 heavy snow- and sandstorms, and 23 earthquakes were registered. Estimated damage caused by the disasters have amounted to MNT 476.4 billion.
