EXTERNAL TRADE TURNOVER REACHES USD 2,664.9 MILLION
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ By the first half of this year, Mongolia carried on trade with 120 countries of the world, and a total external trade turnover reached USD 2,664.9 million: Exports made up USD 1,308.7 million, import--USD 1,356.2 million.
The external trade balance that time showed a deficit of USD 47.6 million decreasing USD 82.2 million or 63.3 per cent against the previous year. The total external trade turnover increased USD 1,009.2 million or 61.0 per cent, of which exports--by USD 545.8 million or 71.5 per cent, imports--USD 463.5 million or 51.9 per cent, respectively, compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the first half of 2010, mineral products, natural or cultured stones, precious metal, jewelry and textiles and textile articles accounted for 93.0 per cent of the total export value amount.
