SOCIAL WELFARE IN FIGURES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first half of 2010, 493.9 thousand people got registered as insurer, of which 206.6 thousand or 41.8 per cent insurers from the government institutions, 287.3 thousand or 58.2 per cent insurers--from the private establishments.
Total amount of pensions allocated from the social insurance fund reached MNT 166.0 billion in the first half of 2010. Retirement pension accounted for 73.1 per cent; pensions for the disabled--for 12.8 per cent, breadwinner loss pension--for 7.4 per cent, and military pension took 6.7 percent of the total amount.
In the first half of 2010, social welfare pensions and benefits had been allocated for 55.7 thousand people with the amount of MNT 12.7 billion, increased by 2.5 thousand people or 4.7 per cent; the total amount of the allocated fund went up by MNT 0.7 billion or 5.7 per cent, compared to the same period of 2010.
From this year, MNT 70.0 thousand were started to be allocate for everyone, and in the first half of 2010, a total of MNT 169.8 billion reached 2.4 million people from the Human development fund (HDF).
