BURYATIA'S PRESIDENT AWARDED NORTH STAR ORDER
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Pursuant to a decree of Mongolia's President Ts.Elbegdorj, the North Star Order was bestowed upon V.V.Nagovytsin, the President of Russian Republic of Buryatia. He has been awarded as such for developing the friendly ties and boundary collaboration between Mongolia and Buryatia and for good deeds in researching, protecting and propagandizing the Mongolian language, culture and traditins.
The "Friendship" medal has been given to some officials--M.G.Matvei, a Speaker of People's Khural of Buryatia, B.G.Balijirov, a Deputy Head of Buryatian Government, M.A.Kharitonov, a head of the Committee on National Affairs at the President of Buryatia, S.N.Buldayev, a Head of the Seniors' Council at Buryatia's President, and V.A.Shaglakhayev, a vice president of the Forum of World Mongolians and teacher of the "Maidar" Buddhist Center of Buryatia.
