PRESIDENT VISITS HERDER FAMILY IN BURYATIA
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has visited a herder family in Buryatia, Russia, during his participation in the 4th General Session of World Mongolians' Forum in Ulan-Ude city.
He visited the family of Mr. Garamjap, one of the herders in Atsagat village, Zaigrayevsky district of Buryatia, that maintain the Mongolian traditions on animal husbandry. His family owns some 200 cows, goats and sheep. “Although we experienced hard winter, no animals perished this winter thanks to a good haymaking,” said Garamjap.
“Almost every family plants vegetables on fertile lands and prepares hay in Buryatia. Such lifestyle can be seen from all Buryat hard working families,” a deputy governor of Zaigrayevsky district A.N.Zaigrayev said and thanked Mongolia's President for visiting the Buryat family.
“Our government promotes the Buryat language and culture. All my grandchildren are studying in Buryat schools,” the family's housewife Mrs. Dashima said.
