Kuwait Energy Co. to invest $ 100 mln to enhance oil exploration in =
SANA'A, July 21 (Saba) - The Kuwait Energy Company has announcedits intentions to invest about $ 100 million during the current and coming years to strengthen oil exploration at several offshore and onshore fields in Yemen.
Upon his = arrival in Yemen along with an accompanying delegation, chairman of the company's board of directors Mansour Abu Khamsin said the visit aims to discuss with Yemeni officials at the inistry of Oil and Minerals and affiliated companies aspects of cooperation in the field of oil exploration.
Abu Khamsin said the company is currently preparing for receiving the assets of the Australian Oil Search Company working in the Middle East and North Africa which the company bought in mid April, 2008. 10% of these assets are in Yemen and 90% in Egypt and North Africa, he added. FR
