NKorea issues new posters on coming KWP conference

PYONGYANG, July 18 (Itar-Tass) - North Korea issued new publicity
posters, devoted to the coming national conference of the Korean Workers
Party (KWP), scheduled for next September.
They include a poster, issued by the state print shop, with the
inscription "Welcome KWP conference to go down for good into history of
our party and country!". According to the KCNA news agency, the poster
expresses the desire of people and the Korean People's Army "to launch a
general offensive on the eve of this important event so as to raise
well-being of the country's population".
Another poster with the inscription "Let's meet conference with
political enthusiasm and spectacular labour successes!" reflects "the
lofty revolutionary spirit of Korean people".
Popular are, as before, other posters, including "Our road is
difficult, but we shall negotiate it with a smile", "We score new steep
turn with songun might (Eds: military-oriented policy)".
Special attention in graphic publicity is given to the party's thesis
on reliance on people's own forces, providing for solution of economic
problems only thanks to local raw materials and reserves, including
scientific and technical, as well as reliance of one's own forces.
Posters invariably depict grim or smiling sturdy young people,
including workers, peasants, engineers, students and troops, "ready to
score new labour feats or to repulse an act of enemy aggression any time".
