AG: DELINQUENT PROSECUTORS GIVE BIG SLAM TO AGO
Jakarta, July 22 (ANTARA) - Delinquent prosecutors have given a big slam and tarnished the image of the judiciary institution, Attorney General Hendarman Supandji said.
The Attorney General Office is facing trials as people are spotlighting certain prosecutors who have acted against the rulings, Hendarman said at a function celebrating the 48th anniversary of the prosecutor's day here Tuesday.
Such a condition has as if eliminated what have been done by the Attorney General Office, he said.
He said the violations committed by certain prosecutors showed that the daily instructions at the office have not been carried out properly.
Thus, he said, the prosecutor's day could be made momentum of introspection to avoid same mistakes.
"We should also admit that we are in the crisis of credibility," he said.
Hendarman also said his office should make fundamental changes on moral matters in an effort to improve the office's image.
Hendarman said he would not hesitate to take measures on whoever committing violations at his office.
"I don't want to see any witness who becomes a suspect, or a suspect who becomes a witness in the investigation process," he said.
