Venezuelan Envoy: Anti-Iran sanctions, against human rights

Tehran, July 17, IRNA – Venezuela’s Ambassador to Iran David Velasquez underlined on Saturday that the anti-Iran sanctions are disregard for the human rights.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Velasquez reiterated that the anti-Iran resolution issued by the UN Security Council as well as unilateral sanctions imposed by the US and some European states on the country were against the human rights.
The UN Security Council, US and some European states have recently reached agreement on economic sanctions against Iran to compel it to halt its “peaceful” nuclear activities.
On Tehran’s stands on the offer of inspection of Iranian ships, the ambassador opined Venezuela is against the issue and totally disagrees with any illegal entry into the Iranian territory.
The Venezuelan government refuses any invasion, insult and sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Velasquez noted./end
